Mastodon | FDE (Flat Dark Earth)

This Mastodon is a Full-size flipper. The handle design is comfortable in the hand, while the finger curvature allows for a comfortable forward grip. The blade is 4″ and crafted from VG10 Japanese steel.

VG10 stainless steel is used to produce culinary, hunting, combat, and switchblades thanks to its edge durability qualities and good corrosion tolerance. 

The handles are made from G10 scales over stainless steel liners and include a stainless steel pocket clip set up for right-hand carry.

VG10 is stainless steel from Takefu, Japan. Given the high requirements it fulfills, the "G" is an abbreviation for "Gold," and the "10" distinguishes it from VG1, its predecessor. Because of its high carbon content (1%), VG10 is superior steel for knife blades.
